The dialogue made the movie awkward and so obviously scripted, nothing seemed natural. It was more like a live-acting video game than a movie. Acting was mediocre and lacked any enthusiasm.

A movie made for the sake of making money. An appalling show of non-stop gore, very little continuity, and a plot you could predict within the first five minutes. At times it seemed as if the dialogue was purely improvised, describing the jokes as ‘sub par’ would be a massive understatement. I like Nick Cage, I like Nicholas Hoult, I’m surprised either accepted their roles. Finally the films ham-fisted attempts at cultural relevance were cringe worthy without fail. There were more than a few lines taken straight from the pages of TikTok and other ‘Gen z’ apps. Of course, such a big budgeted production had at least some entertainment quality, creating an experience only a little less painful than a stake through the heart ;). To all those who read these movie reviews before watching the actual movie, I would not recommend this film.
