There are slashers, and there are sadistic so-called "movies". I don't know how such a movie with zero backstory, zero character development, zero smart details, and LOTS of mindless killing and torture, can be considered entertainment. This is coming from a slasher fan who enjoys series such as Halloween, Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, and Jeepers Creepers. If you can't tolerate complete lack of story, extremely dumb characters, and sadistic obsessions, you too will not find Terrifier a good movie.

Imagine wanting to get revenge, but all you get is being constantly punched, bullied, and outsmarted by a stupid mob kid, and nobody shuts the idiot up for the whole movie; and when they finally do, it's done in the worst way possible. Isn't the point of revenge movies just to be entertained and watch the bad guy suffer or beg for his life at some point? But this movie makes THE VIEWER suffer instead. Give me John Wick 5 already.

I couldn't give it more than 25 minutes, then I quit the movie player and shift+deleted this movie. It uses the same weak method which is constantly used by Hollywood's screenwriters and directors in their so called horror movies. SPOILERS below: A family with at least 3 children (4 works better), a new house with a large basement and also a dark past (Should be far from city center), a ghost or entity that tries to scare them but gradually (sounds like ghosts are shy). Finally, the family manages to run away happily and let go of that cheap jump scares. If you haven't watched this movie yet, I suggest you not to waste your time on it.

Are people even serious when they say this is one of the best movies they've seen? I'm starting to think that the whole situation is a huge prank. The movie lacks good acting, atmosphere design, and right rhythm. Also the genre isn't what it claims to be. If you like love stories (a bad one at that as well), then watch.

This is an excellent movie that provided me a memorable evening. The main actor (James Frecheville) played his role marvelously; he could be regarded one of the toughest men in cinema history if just the movie was offered with more ads and hypes. Hugo Weaving is great as always also. Plus, the filming techniques are great, the plot is great. I rate this movie 7.5 from 10. Don't think twice about watching it.

This movie opens new areas to horror genre. It has the most vicious story I have ever seen. You cannot foretell what the movie has in mind for you.

Well, the fact that the protagonist was a boxer, and the relatively acceptable rating of the movie, made me expect something packed with fight scenes and martial arts moves. Turns out it was mainly a drama. Anyway, also those few fight scenes were terribly executed and filmed. Before watching this, I never knew how important it is to see a close-up of a character's FACE when he's hitting the other guy! Really stunning, I mean, really.

Why the h*** is everyone comparing it with GOT? Vikings is way better for sure. It has far better character development, casting, fight choreography, atmosphere, and plot twists. Don't hesitate to watch it.
