Marie Flaherty

I absolutely loved Belfast. Although set against the backdrop of sectarian violence, it is nonetheless an uplifting film, filled with plenty of humour. A wonderful cast with a superb script, brillliantly directed by Brannagh. However, the star of the show is undoubtedly young Jude Hill, the child from whose perspective, the story is told. He shines throughout, giving a magical performance. I would highly recommend it.
