SPOILERS ALERT: This was a refreshing film, and I thought the pacing was perfect for a mystery/thriller. It allowed us as the audience to piece together the mystery of the missing children through the flashbacks of each character’s POV, which painted one clear picture. I thought saving the child’s story for the end was a great way to keep us guessing and at the edge of our seats. As each character’s story was revealed, we finally got the answers as to why the children left, and the villain did not disappoint. We don’t meet many female villains who are evil for evil’s sake, but Aunt Gladys was exactly that— an evil witch, so her motives as to WHY didn’t need to be clear. She was crazy. It would’ve been interesting to see what she would’ve done with the children to “make her feel better,” however it still ended in the way it should’ve. Although it wasn’t a happy ending, I thought this film’s concept was original, and that’s what we’ve been lacking in horror.

This was better than the first one!

One of my favorite games! Just downloaded the remastered and I can’t wait to play again
