Very interesting special effects, costuming and scenery. Use of colour and light appropriate and just beautiful. The characters and theme of the show are gritty, believable (if you believe in magic) and different- at first I thought it might be derivative of Carnivale, Penny dreadful, Shannarra or The Magicians but I think it is different and has escaped direct comparison. I binge watched the series upon release and want more NOW!
