I gave it a solid 45 minutes to get good. The dialogue was choppy, acting was subpar and there was no connection/chemistry between Chase and Dreyfus. Dreyfus plays a grumpy unfunny old man and Chase’s character has little to no character. I really wanted to like it, but I just couldn’t continue watching. This had no heart nor soul. Too bad, there are so many Netflix movies that exceed my expectations. The Last Laugh definitely fell flat on its unfunny face.

Not always can you trust Rotten Tomatoes reviews. This was an “artistic” film which left me confused and horrified. There is no satisfaction in watching this film. I love watching thrillers, horror, but this took so many things multiple steps beyond. I will make this in the book as never ever wanting to watch again.
