What a waste of time to watch this movie. It was extremely annoying. The main protagonist was such a narcissist self centred person. Everything was I me myself. The Life List presents several frustrating and contradictory aspects that make it difficult to sympathize with the protagonist, Alex. One of the most problematic elements is her betrayal—despite constantly admiring and looking up to Nina, she still ended up sleeping with Nina’s boyfriend. This not only makes her character seem hypocritical but also undermines any depth or moral struggle she might have had. Additionally, the movie frames Alex’s grief as if she is the only one suffering from the loss of her mother, completely ignoring the fact that her brothers also lost their mother. This self-centered portrayal of grief feels unrealistic and dismisses the emotional weight on the rest of her family. Another issue is her lack of effort in maintaining relationships. When her boyfriend visits her home, she makes no attempt to make him feel comfortable or include him in conversations, further showcasing her emotional detachment. These elements make the film feel shallow, with a protagonist who is difficult to empathize with, ultimately weakening its intended emotional impact.
