This is definitely a artistic film instead of a entertainment film, especially with how there can be so many people saying they love this film and others saying how garbage it is. I will admit the first 20 minutes i was liking it but the constant eerie and suspenseful background noise really started to become so pronounced that it was distracting and annoying. I give this a 1 star because the movie wasn't enjoyable after the first 20 minutes. The only good part after that was the tesla car scene. I know alot of people like this movie for all of its "messages' but im am a adult and all the supposed messages in the movie is obvious and already known to me. I watch a movie to be entertained, not to be taught some lesson from Hollywood of all places. The background music, the weird panning of the camera, the racist hostility that was unnecessarily brought into the film, the daughters weird obsession for a stupid show like friends, the unnecessary perverted-y of the son. All of this sums up the failure of hollywood in the last few years of such horrible movies/tv shows that have been produced. And that cringe worthy god awful scene of the father saying how worthless he is without a phone, kill me now. I understood all the messages the movie was trying to say, doesn't mean it was a good movie just because it has a "good" message in it.
