Thrilling, artistic action film with a surprising layer of humanity thanks to the captivating, gritty performance by Mary Elizabeth Winstead, one of Hollywood's best and most underrated actors. "Kate" is exhilarating and Winstead "kills it" as the assassin who finds redemption with her eyes opened wide by betrayal and corruption and her guns blazing, not to mention an assortment of other lethal weapons.
