How a movie billed as a "comedy" and glowing with some of the best movie actress talent around could regress into a cold misogynistic attack on matriarchy, lesbianism, and femininity for possibly the sheer novelty and sensationalism of it, or other more devious or artistic aims, I'll never know. A difficult to watch piece of postmodern art film making that I believe, hurts women's already devalued state in culture. BUT, it is a true art piece, finely wrought, and is delightful and rewarding as a piece of art film, however shocking, so I would recommend to others to see it and make up your own mind about it. Not for anyone under 18.
