Absolutely abysmal, with such inconsistent writing and plot points. Sometimes some characters just weren't there for any reason. Every character was written with the intent to annoy you with how little they make sense or behave in the world around them. With cheap jumpscares galore, despite the clear ability to set almost impressively oppressive and nerve-wracking atmospheres, not even the Boogeyman can scare away the failings of this movie.
