What is new about this book? What is ingenuitive? Even bad things have good parts. This book seems to me to be entirely mediocre.
Brit Bennet crosses no borders. She threatens no one but the most stubborn, pleases only those who cannot think for themselves, grows fat off told the checks she receives from a massive publishing company.
This book leaves me with absolutely nothing. What else could possibly be called but Kitsch? Adored by presidents, praised by media, entirely hollow. The cover even reflects this, a conglomeration of shapes and colors, forming the vague outline of two humans. The book is identity-less from the beginning.
