I should’ve started watching sooner! The show is one of the best series being aired right now. I was hesitant about tuning in at first after how big of a disappointment 1923 was and then with the shift Yellowstone started to make I thought the show was just going to land flat with all the “Hollywood woke” stuff that everything’s been tainted with but it’s actually good. I hope they’re making a season 2 now…

The movie was terribly raw- in all aspects. It doesn’t come close to the original. Firstly, it feels like you’re watching close to real life lions with unedited voices from Actors whose tone simply do not fit the character Ms. They should’ve scrapped the cast & live action and just done an updated illustration to start with. And last but not least all black is not the same, yes the original movie did not use authentic African accents either but Beyoncé’s voice sounded like she just came from Texas😭 I mean where near Africa, I don’t know who thought that would be a good idea, but it was especially terrible along with the voices of Pumba & Timon .

The people who are saying the movie needs work and is more like a draft than a well-thought movie are right. The trailer made it seem like it was gonna be some type of sci-fi thriller and the first like 30min did hold up to that but it just went downhill from there. I found myself skipping throughout the movie, and I say that to say I have watched slow movies but this just gets too slow too fast. I agree movies can be different & abstract & all of that but it still has to have a storyline. And this storyline and dialogue was just weak, but it does have so much potential and that’s what’s frustrating. The ending was stupid to me… it kind of made it feel like the movie went the way it did just to make a statement. Like the writer thought that it would be a good idea to have an ending like that and wrote the story to line up with that. The male character just seem like a predator when his objective was actually valid lol. I went from being on the girls side to being on his because of how twisted the storyline is. For example the mother acted like she was in such distress and consumed with hatred because of the father’s death then after only a couple days is talking to the stranger out the blue than not much longer after she’s kissing him…. Then tried to kill him so her daughter can feel comfortable after she already willingly kissed him🤔 💀 Yeah it’s a lot of things I could say about this movie like why did the bandits show up all of a sudden? And how were there only 4 other ppl on the planet besides the family & why are they killing them & want them to leave? In short, the movie needs work! But the acting, cinematography & setting looks good.
