What a thought provoking film. For all I had heard of this detention centre I saw in this film, its despicable culture. How pleased I am to know it's been now seen for what it was.

I was pleasantly surprised by this charming adaptation of David Copperfield.

Knew nothing of this movie before deciding to watch. Pleased with my find. Carey Mulligan is a fine actress and doesn't disappoint in Mudbound. Great cinematography, poignant story and a true sense gained of living in rural Mississippi at this time and continued racial inequality. I felt the WW2 scenes were rather contrived and the only part of this movie somewhat unrealistic. Overall a good movie watch and I'd recommend.

Very realistic portrayal of divorce and all the casualties taken when it occurs. Good performances by main characters. Would recommend.
