This series is better than great. All the actors are really good, and portray the characters perfectly. The story is engaging and you keep wanting to know what's next. The main leads are fantastic and interact perfectly. One thing I've noticed is , needing to use eng subs, how well the cast portray the emotions of the characters in their expressions and body language,(usually this is via the actors voice),thereby they enable you to fully understand what is happening. The leads both excel in this especially Xiao Zhan. The story follows the drawn versions really closely which is unusual and the two leads are so similar to their drawn counterparts it's fantastic. I have started watching the other versions because of how much I enjoy this production. I admit I'm hooked! I have already watched it many times, in fact I am doing so again now. I wish I could get a copy to keep, that's how much I love it. Also each character has their own theme song which is fantastic and adds to the enjoyment. An added bonus is finding out how fantastic a voice Xiao Zhan has, he has to be one of the best vocalist I have heard in ages. I have been trying to find as much as possible even if I don't know the words, his voice and expressive face say so much. Spoiler alert: the only part is the ending it really isn't what you would think happens. But all in all do yourself a favour take the time to sit back and enjoy a really great show. Thank you to all concerned in its production , and especially Xiao Zhan and Wang YiBo (Don't know how he could keep a straight face sometimes) you all should be exceptionly proud of yourselves.
