I was won over completely with "Gavin the wombat", shed a few sneaky tears for "Possum Magic - a curly tale" and fell in love with "Pippi Eugene" the red wattlebird. Some of these animals are foreign to me, but each touched me in a way that made me think about my own special moments with animals that I have loved, some briefly, some for many years. I feel that this book is special because it brings together so many brilliant Australian authors and photographers. Congratulations to Leah Kaminsky and Meg Keneally for making this happen.
