What an unimaginative waste of film. The movie attempts to cash in on nostalgia via the return of several members from the first film in the series, Jurassic Park, while missing (or fumbling) all of the themes that made Jurassic Park such an excellent movie.
The main themes in this film, seem to be "weaponizing dinosaurs" which would be a far more arduous, long and costly effort than to simply invent better weapons or drones, and "family bonds can beat the odds" which has been a theme in many movies, but has always been done better than the poor use in this film. Fast and the Furious ring any bells?
The film seems far, far more determined and focused to use the dinosaurs as visual spectacles, while having them act entirely ridiculous;
In the first movie, Jurassic Park, a tyrannosaur 'saves the day' by attacking raptors at the movies climax, it's sensible. The raptors would have provided a meal.
In Jurassic World, they have a dinosaur larger than a tyrannosaur eating insects; this would be comparable to humans hunting down fleas to sate their appetite, it's ludicrous at best.
They also have large predators from different species working together to defeat a larger carnivore, utter nonsense.
Also, one of these aforementioned insects, while on fire, is thrown into the mouth of a large predatory dinosaur, bursts into flames, causing it to breathe fire, albeit momentarily.
Again, the entire film is a "visual spectacle" though make no mistake, there is nothing within to be called spectacular, being a sort of terrible cross between Jurassic Parks best elements and a poorly directed love letter to the fondness Michael Bay holds for explosions and vehicular collisions; which is very fitting, as the film was a catastrophic train wreck.
I won't apologize for the spoilers. You ought to reconsider watching the putrid, smoldering remains of a great films (and an even better book) legacy.
Shame on the people that worked, that made, that acted in, produced and directed this rotten piece of trash that some were likely dull enough to call "artwork" Shame on you all.
