SPOILER ALERT in this I did not like the 84 movie, it was ok but not a masterpiece as so many are comparing 2020 to. It had its flaws. for me the biggie was Dr Kynes as a woman. HE was father to Chani, this is a very important fact for future of Dune/Arrakis. HE dies in a spice blow, Chani and Paul both witness the spice blow, people are sent out to it and find Dr Kynes body and tell Chani. Pauls fight with Jamis does not occur right after they meet the Fremen. and they fought WITHOUT stillsuits. There was no dinner where they meet all those in power on Arrakis. Where Paul meets the emperors daughter. At least the Sardaukar are not wearing those awful floppy hats as in 84 movie. You cannot hear the prayer Kynes says when they first meet the Maker, it is lost in noise from worms passing. Paul does not leave thopter. Speaking of, I thought the thopters were perfect very much the way the book describes them, insect like. there is little emotional interaction between Paul and his mother. I thought the baron was a bit over the top grotesque.
