Ridiculous take on Van Allsberg classic.
Why?
Why take a lovely story and darken it up with terror?
Why not write a new movie to scare kids at Christmas and leave the magical The Polar Express alone.
Shame on Tom and Chris for letting this happen.

I can’t believe I finished this book. It has taken me 7 months.
I wanted to like it, 2 good book friends insisted that I would love it. I have been a tree hugger since the mid 60s.
I remain underwhelmed and I can’t figure out what the attraction is.
There are lovely descriptive passages but for a peek into why we love trees and feel an interconnection with the natural world, I have seen better.
Give me the Monkey Wrench Gang. Heyduke lives!
