Hotel translvania 1 and 2 are classics, just rewatched them recently. But the franchise has only gone down from there. Hotel Transylvania 3 had some exciting characters and a new plot based on emotional conflict. A plot full of learning to accept and understand, a clear step for the characters, though that still wouldn't get above 3 stars. This movie is, somehow, even worse. The characters seem tired and bored, and the plot is overdone. One character feels like they don't fit in because of what someone they look up to said or did. At the end of Hotel T. 1, Jonney and Drac were starting to understand each other, this movie goes against everything from before. And I understand how Jonney felt left out, but he did ruin the Hotel. His selfish choices lead to the guinea pig destroying the iconic staple for all monster kind! You may be able to pin some of the blame on Drac, but that's how he's always been. For years Jonney has been treated like this, and never once did he talk to Drac, never once get some therapy. Not only that, but the Hotel used to be a beautiful place for monsters to come together, and now it's a spa and exercise house?! What Jonney has done is a disgrace to the entire monster world!
