If like me, you’re genuinely baffled by how, over an alarmingly short period of time, the narrative within a section of the left has become increasingly irrational, based more commonly on anecdote, 'feelings' and a morally-certain ideology rather than coherent argument, logic, reason and crucially, real evidence, you should read this book.
It is essential reading for anyone on the political left, right and centre who wonders how political and ideological discourse has regressed in the way it has in recent times and especially, why a section of the left has become effectively fascistic in its approach to opposing viewpoints.
The authors show with real and incontrovertible evidence how critical theory infected our educational establishments and how our children are being inducted (and one could argue, bullied) into adopting what is effectively a new, puritanical and intolerant ‘religion’.
My sons found it especially enlightening and I especially recommend it to intelligent young people at school and university who can sense that something is very wrong but don’t quite understand what it is.
