I guess I half enjoyed this book for the spice and stuff but otherwise the story was a bit jumbled, it took her very long to realise that her mother really didn’t care about her but I guess with not overall that many encounters she thought she could still prove herself.
What really disappointed me was the ending it felt so rushed. The whole reveal that the other witch had been a sage as well and had been the one killing people and staging it to look a certain way was in at least the last 30 pages, then the author killed off the main character as soon as the witch was found out leaving us filled with blank on what happened to her vampire lover and left her in a pool of blood as if she as totally helpless and couldn’t of defended herself at least even if in shock
