I am a lifelong doctor who can. I have watched older series to not miss any. The new current doctor was a mess. The feel and over doing it with music and lgbtq theme was a wrong. I am not anti LGBTQ but it was heavy over the top on this theme it also seemed like an advert for adoption services. The story of the show had to play second fiddle to this which made it a tied affair. I think the current people who have manage decisions need to rethink what they want to do. Stay with the story being the main focus is try to let themes of LGBT and child adoption/ fostering become the main part of it. I think they should focus on what has worked and stop losing viewers who have loved the show for years.
