Dating back to the days of The MacNeil/Lehrer Report, I have been in stark admiration of what later became the PBS News Hour. My admiration only grew with the professionalism of Judy Woodruff ! I am so disappointed with the pablum broadcasts delivered primarily by Amna Nawaz. The News Hour has long benefited from the work of excellent and dedicated producers delivering hard-hitting narratives to an outstanding on-air cast. The shining star of current episodes is Lisa Desjardins with her outstanding Washington reporting and energetic delivery. Geoff Bennett is a solid co-anchor. For the benefit of the NewsHour, dump Amna Nawaz as an unfortunate error in judgement ! Her talking head performance and cheesy closing smile are a detriment to a previously Outstanding News Program !
