If you like to watch people running in terror, seeing aliens blow up the planet and hot women running with thin clothing with a plot that easily recognizable, then this movie isn’t for you. The script lightly touches on stereotypes and how they would respond to crazy events, whether with indifference, emotional paralysis, anger, escapism, as things unfold. The ending was not what I expected and I threw up my arms and yelled, “What?!!” But then after a moment, I realized that it was the perfect ending… to a humdrum, typical, human existence, without struggle, without aim, passive and barely engaged in life or anyone in it except friends.

Are we really that much of a disease on this planet? Yup. In fact we’ve done way worse but this movie puts its own unique spin on disaster. You need to watch the ending credits though. All the way through until it is completely done. The very last scenes are the icing on the cake.
