I AM OBSESSED. I CANNOT WAIT FOR THE RELEASE OF THE NEXT EPISODE. It's the perfect recipe! There's thrill in every episode so far, comedy in the most unexpected situations, and the perfect amount of romance without being too mushy! Even the supporting cast are excellent! They really lift the mood! Even the sets are exceptional! As of now I don't see anything lacking in this drama. IT IS A MUST WATCH AND I CANNOT WAIT TO BINGE IT. Kudos to everyone involved in the making of this drama!

I'm in a few episodes, and I feel like the story is a bit confusing, not because I don't understand the flow of the plot, but because I think the motivation of the characters doesn't feel like they're deep enough. Thus the characters seem a bit flat. I was looking for the venomous political strife in the palace of the Joseon dynasty; the schemes, the twists, and of course, the whirlwind romance of the monarchs, but so far, the characters and events are yet to make a remarkable impression on me. They don't seem significant enough. It feels a little bit lackluster for me. I see how things could've been better, but I personally think this drama is kind of dull. I'll come back when I finish it, if I see to it that it's worth it. I may just be impatient, but we'll see.

The entire drama is definitely aesthetically pleasing, it was a feast for the eyes. I also liked the chemistry of characters, they did well. Hotel del Luna is worth a watch. Please do so if you have the time.

It was a good watch for me. I have to warn those that get impatient tho. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think, this is a slow burn? Majority of the show is dedicated to His Majesty's adventures and love affair outside the palace. It focuses on the romance rather than the politics some may be looking for. All the actors, main and supporting, did an excellent job! My one regret is the lack of development on Hongshim's character tho, I feel like it's a wasted potential.
