Deepa Mehta and Ava Duvernay really have a lot to answer for with their continuous gaslighting and silencing of honest critical voices of the very people who went through the Tamil genocide in Sri Lanka. The Tamil language is also very badly butchered in the film because they did not hire real Tamil actors, but mostly a Singhala people. It was so bad they had to then go find Tamil speakers to dub the scenes after production was complete.
