There are very few Netflix shows that I stopped watching having once begun. But this was so non entertaining as to be almost insulting. It felt like something a 10 year old would produce, if given the chance. It made no sense much of the time, the characters were not even close to anything real or relateable and the story line jumped all over the place, causing confusion and irritation in me, the viewer. These are my favorite type of shows, I've watched the Crown 4 times. So it has to be pretty bad for me to click away. And sadly, it was. Like, shockingly bad. I felt embarrassed for anyone who had a hand in creating this. Talk about cringe. Also, I just read that the director was addressing, or attempting to address, various issues such as bigotry. Yet by making at least one of the courtiers black, which just didn't happen back then, she's actually misrepresented history by portraying racism as non-existent.
