I have never witnessed so much physical and mental violence inflicted on one main character by the author ever. And all that harm done to the character doesn’t lead to anything. The character is just being tortured for the sake of being tortured. I don’t mind characters suffering in books but it has to be justified or lead to some moral conclusions. What can you take out from this book? Nothing unless you enjoy reading about people cutting themselves and not willing to improve while destroying lives of loved ones. And you can sense that author enjoys writhing that as the scenes are very repetitive and many of them are unnecessary.
