This was marketed to young children, but it is entirely inappropriate for kids under 13. In fact, I don't even want my older teens watching it. The coming of age issues that are brought up do not need to be discussed so publicly, and many of the topics should not be encouraged. Lying, rebellion, sneaking around are all things parents are working to hard to teach their children not to do. Just because society "expects" teenagers to act out & disrespect their parents does not mean that it is ok! This movie glorifies these young girls disobeying, disrespecting, & demeaning their parents & others. I am extremely disappointed with this movie!
