This was moronic! there are about a dozen things that make this laughable. Not the least of which is the hyper competent government and this movie doubles that nonsense by adding the Soviets., Conspiracy theorists can do better than this... This wasn't even enjoyable on a sci-fi basis. This was a very interesting premise but, it fell well short of entertaining. Somebody owes me and hour and a half of my life back

I agree with the review next to mine. I recognize how much everyone loves 2001... I even know why but, it never caught me. I found it pretentious and off putting. Nobody is going to forget 12 Angry Men or The Godfather because of this film but, this is a very well acted, thought out and entertaining movie. Great characters with interesting dialog. Not every movie is supposed to be a thought provoking earth shattering life altering experience. Sometimes, even most times, I just want to see an enjoyable movie. I love classic movies and watch them often but, every once in a while, I'll watch the Three Stooges just because. This isn't a great movie but, when I see it I'm glad I did.

I've watched this movie several times and it's engrossing. One or two sets and nothing but well acted dialog. No guns or explosions or bombings, just compelling dialog. This movie was taken from notes smuggled out of the meeting. The remarkable part of this movie is the civilized and almost elegant manner in which these monsters just waltz through the unthinkable. This is a must watch.

This is a wonderful movie. Well acted, well thought out and very entertaining. It has some flaws but, the professional reviewers know very little. This isn't Moonrise Kingdom with swastikas. Just because there are youngsters with a crush doesn't make it the same thing. We're not supposed to relate to the little boy, he's the guide of the story. There's some accuracy to the story hidden in many of the jokes but, the odd smarmy critic spends too much time crowbarring in big words and nasty phrases into their review and far less time learning history which might be a better use of their time. Watch the movie and enjoy it.

Enjoyable. it's got the same feel as Simpson and Futurama and it's quite funny but, it becomes very obvious that voice acting isn't as easy as it seems. Abbi Jacobson simply isn't any good at all, her voice and delivery is something you'd hear from a drive through speaker. Nothing there, just noise. Nat Faxon is slightly better and Eric Andre is passable with a smarmy delivery but, the talent always rises. DiMaggio, LaMarche, West, MacNeille and Herman are clearly the best in the business and when they are voicing, they are heard above the others. Not just because they're recognizable but, the deliver lines better. They can be loud or they can be subtle and still you hear them because they are true voice actors. Nice story, nice dialogue but, the three main characters simply don't stand out, they just appear more. Worth the watch but, the top half of the cast is very week.

Gervais is a very thoughtful entertainer. Not just a silly funny man. After life is funny but, much more. I'm enjoying this as much as his broader comedy.
