I was prepared to turn off if this was yet another drama-frenzy filled show. Urging frantic "hurry up" to the contestants making them more and more anxious. Not the spirit of family/community cooking at all. Exhausting not relaxing and creative. I was also hoping for food ideas i could cook at home .. I'm not Heston I want realistic cooking. This is it. Considering this show is competing with exactly that type of show and viewers being used to High Drama ... this is refreshing! Perfect - no but we feel good after watching. Discussion is around food not drama. It was exhausting trying to watch Master chef so we didn't. I felt MKR needed therapy! The contestants are not carrying the public opinion of their Country on their shoulders! Its a cooking show - not the United Nations ! Relax guys and just cook. The cultural cooking tips are very interesting!

Awful. Not funny. Not historically correct. Soundtrack so annoying we nearly walked out (at least 6 people walked out in our session). The credits unreadable. Seriously, whoever thought to spread them across the screen so as to be unreadable should be shot. So unreal and full of flaws - where was her husband? Where were the other ladies-in-waiting? Even though Anne was somewhat uneducated I cannot believe such disrespect to the Sovereign could happen. Distracting from anything else happening. I'm quite indignant that critics are saying this is a work that examines relationships between women. None of the women I know! I'm not referring to the sexual aspect .. but the manipulation and visciousness. A short reference to the times makes it more about the times not relationships between women. If i was Queen Anne I'd come back and haunt the makers of this film! Nicely filmed. Rachel Weiss great. Poor Olivia Coleman doesnt get to do much but pout and scream. Emma Stone ... greatest piece of miscasting ever. Don't waste your time or money.
