Outstanding movie (referring here to the 1988 movie Spoorloos). Not just a compelling plot and great acting but a perfect example of a vanishing, if not vanished, class of horror movies that play on a actual theme. This movie brings up questions of happiness, good and evil, sociopathy, and most importantly the psychological horror of simply not knowing/being able to reach closure. Also, in a day and age where shootings and murders are seeming to become commonplace, the movie's fixation on a single woman's disappearance and the trauma it causes made it all the more haunting. If you are looking for a movie that not only offers suspense but the spark for some interesting conversations afterwards, then give this movie a try.
