My Roundheart

I went into this show, knowing full well that the show got less intriguing as it neared its latest season, i.e. season 8. However, I had a hope it would be decent, if not mind-blowing, in the first couple of seasons, as is evidenced by the hype in its early days of broadcasting and its loyal fan base. So I plunged in wholeheartedly. I wasn't disappointed. The consensus is right. Great in the beginning, less so in the present. I'd recommend the show, solely for the first four seasons, and the last four, for FOMO. The Walking Dead might pick up its pace, yet.

I've cringed my way through half the movie now. I've this annoying habit of completing even terrible movies and hence I'm doomed to complete this one, too. If you prefer, you could actually watch a movie of similar tone, but with much better acting, screenplay, everything: Edge of seventeen.

I watched this one at night, which, honestly, is the right time to watch all the horror movies. Felt genuinely scared. The atmosphere and the jumpscares are effective. I liked how there are three separate stories to be told, each categorically horror, yet different in its modus operandi. Not a big fan of the end, though, which felt like I have read about or seen before.
