I have seen many Marilyn movies and this one by far made me actually feel her pain. Yes this movie exploited Marilyn however her life has always been depicted as exploited by Hollywood, the men she was involved with including the Kennedys. That is what was so sad about her life. The many miscarriages, her insane mother and never knowing her father (just the total lack of nurturement growing up) is enough to put anyone over the edge. This is nothing new. The difference is I actually felt it in this movie. Ana de Armas is amazing as Marilyn and deserves to be recognized for it. It was a very sad yet realistic movie. I also think this movie really showed her emotional state.
