The show, acting, ect are good. I appreciate that they weaved in the storyline of the missing indigenous women rather than it being a sidenote like in the books. It is an important topic that doesn’t get enough focus. It’s a good, solid shoe, but if you are familiar with the books, the show won’t feel very similar.
I do think that the show really misses the essence of the books, which is the integration of Gamache into the community of Three Pines - the personal relationships, the food porn, etc.
