More sci-fi than horror this is an engaging, sometimes mind blowing, low budget gem! The leads are great - you really want them to survive the evil in the woods and return to their bickering, mundane existence. All the cast are convincing and I have to say it's one of the weirder plots I've encountered in almost 50 years watching sci-fi and horror! I had no idea how it was all going to end. Refreshing, thought provoking in its themes of family and belonging and delightfully underplayed by the leads. The best scene for me was on the lake when one brother is unaware of the horror that lurks beneath the surface until the older brother encounters it! Recommended.
