It opened my eyes to the troubles in NI and how it impacted families but especially Mary’s family as they grew up. Her strength and resilience to pursue her Law Degree and continue to work for Peace in NI. To obtain the highest seat in Ireland that allowed her to make a real difference to resolve the NI troubles. The visit of Queen Elizabeth to Ireland was a very important moment in history brought about by both Mary and her husband Martins hard work.
