This version messed up the story- big time. Disney’s feminist agenda changed the moral of the story from enjoy your childhood adventures while you can to don’t procrastinate growing up, especially since motherhood is now a choice and you can have all kinds of fun adult adventures (with no implications of true adulthood… 40 hour work weeks, mortgages, taxes, politics, and depressing news stories). I’m all about girl power but the story of Peter Pan is not the platform for a feminist agenda. I’m disappointed in this version.
