A brilliant show, intelligent, nuanced, and insightful.
Andor is easily the best life action Star Wars since the Empire Strikes Back. It does what the Prequels and the Sequels and all the other shows don't do: give us an empire that is not so much a cartoonish magical power centered empire, but the heartless, clinical machine of the very first two movies.
The characters are all so well written. The Empire is not cartoonish in anyway. The rebels are completely relatable. How despotic powers bring others into their circle of evil and how people go to sleep in order to survive is so well portrayed.
Denise Gough as Dedra the ISB officer for the Empire is absolutely excellent. I don't know what else she is in or what else she has done, but her acting is supreme. I loved her constantly irritated micro-expressions.
Stellan Skarsgard as Luthen the leader of the rebel underground is magnificent. His dual sided character as completely sacrificed rebel leader with the cover of an affable antique dealer is marvelous.
Every actor/actress is so well played and their characters are so well-written. As soon as it was over, I looked up to see when season 2 would be released and wished it was sooner.
