highly recommend!
Easily the most gripping non-fiction book I’ve ever read. When I started reading this I was a fresh uni graduate, and having been extensively involved in my university student union and activism, I was surprised when I began seeing my friends take jobs at McKinsey, Bain, Ernst & Young, Woodside, etc. (though they assured they could refuse projects they morally disagreed with). The first chapter of this book really resonated with me for that reason, and it only got better from there.
Giridharadas does a brilliant job of grounding his work in the real, while giving you the basis of theory - without it feeling like you need to memorise names or ideas.
I recommend this book to anyone and everyone that will listen to me talk about this stuff. This is not a book you’ll regret reading.
