Just odd. We saw this in a small art theater with two other people. All four of us said the exact same thing ..."It was...odd." If we'd been at home, we'd have turned it off.

Only 4 episodes into it and we love it!

Anyone who knows me knows I love my superheroes. With a cast like Melissa McCarthy, Octavia Spenser, Jason Bateman and Bobby Canavale I figured it would be good...but with Mccarthy having a hand in producing it I was also fairly sure it might be silly but with the year we've all had.... well, why not. Sigh. It was a yawn. We would have turned it off not even half way through except we figured it had to get better. It didn't. It's exactly what you expect, almost every minute of the movie. And honestly, they made the two main characters so stereotypical that it was annoying. I found it really hard to have any good feelings for Octavia Spenser's character at all. If you watch it, watch it knowing what you're going to get...HA! It was almost more amusing to read the reviews...they are almost all 5 stars or 1 star.

This was a fabulously personal look at a horrific time in our history...with such a positive outcome. We hate to say we loved it, but we did. The artwork is fantastic!

1 star cause you can't do none. The ABSOLUTE best part of Asteroid City is reading the 1 star reviews out loud. My husbands and I laughed so hard we wondered WHY on EARTH(or is it earth? In a Wes Anderson movie who can ever tell?) we wasted our time and money to see Asteroid City when we could have been SO much more entertained reading the reviews. Everyone...literally everyone...with a 1 star review has said it all. This was a terrible movie, with no meaning(did he actually TRY to have no meaning) but with a terrific cast. The BEST part(other than the AC...we're in SOFL so it was welcome) was the scene change art. Oh...did I mention that this is in the form of a play? So you have scene changes? Yeah.....that's just another part of the "mystery" of why anyone in their right mind would want to go see it. I agree with the reviewer who said just watch the trailer...AND, be sure to go back and read all the 1 star reviews...with a glass of wine...it will be the highlight of your day!

We were not sure about this show at first but it hooked us. We LOVED it until this year. Theya re making some of the characters SO harsh it's actually hard to watch. Instead of the Nigerians being definite, they are all getting demeaning, nasty, condescending and very difficult to watch, especially Abishola and Goodwin. I hope the show goes in another direction and soon. The season final I could barely even stand Abishola...she was SO awful.

We LOVED this show but this year ...what were the writers thinking? It does NOT have to follow TBBT...it can be it's own show. I hate what they are doing to George and Mary and frankly, am now only watching because we DO love the concept...but we dread what the writers are going to do with the show. STOP THAT and let it just be the fun show it was!

I REALLY wanted to like tis show because we loved the Julia Child contest and thought this would be similar. It is NOT! AND NOT in a big way. There, the contestants, while of course wanting to win, were all in it together and actually pulled for each other and the judges were great, allt he while tying to help and teach the participants. The scenery in Ciao House is gorgeous but that's really where the fun ends. The participants are childish and petty, especially Saba, the one who appears destined to win. She is condescending, a bully, back biting and very impressed with herself. You can almost accept that of a contestant since they are...the contestants. But the female judge, Alex, is also harsh and usually not so much helpful and trying to teach them, as just plain mean. (We'll never watch a show again where she is a judge)We really do not like this show at all. The ONLY reason I gave it one star is a combination of Judge Gabe and the scenery.
