If you want to be constantly scared and kept in suspense then this movie is for you. If you want anything more, then watch the IT remake instead. This movie was nothing more than jumpscares and cool special effects, there was nothing keeping me intrigued, and nothing that stuck with me as I left the theatre.
**Spoilers**
There were two scenes in this entire movie that I enjoyed. The scene where the daughter died was incredibly emotional and had me on the edge of my seat. The other enjoyable scene was immediately following the revival of the daughter, where the dad has to take care of his daughter after she’s changed, their interactions were hilarious, although I’m not entirely sure that was intentional.
Other than the above mentioned scenes, nothing kept me interested. The only reason I was remotely immersed was because there was a jump scare every 10 minutes, even before the movie began building tension.
This movie’s only audience is those who want to be scared and have their heart pumping for an hour and a half. 2/10
