The movie is over all not that bad. It has a good round selection of characters, and a very interesting premise and plot. But being such an odd idea, it becomes very hard to execute well, and that definitely shows as the movie ends up extremely hurting itself, especially in the later parts of the film. One of the most prominent points is the useless ending, which, I will not spoil, but let’s just say it completely undoes everything that happened in the film before, which makes it a, well, useless ending. So while yes, it is bearable to watch, and is somewhat ok, most of it is kind of goofy and a little hard to take serious as a horror film. All in all, The Unholy well deserves a 3/5, because it’s as “middle of the road” as any movie could get.
