The ending of book 2 had me hooked with such high hopes for the ending... this book fell a bit short with so many abandoned loose ends. 😢 The apples? Evangelines mortality vs. Jack's immortality? The secondary characters who just disappeared- lucien etc??? I also expected some major cathartic moment or battle like scenario including other Fates. This book seemed more of a list of thoughts and moments that ran to a soft conclusion. Of course the world building is still beautiful and the premise is great. Wish there was more solid Jacks pov.
