A wonderful, evocative piece of cinema that captures a moment in time in 20th century Americana and how it evolved for the worse. Stunning performances by Tom Hardy (when is he ever less than magnetic?) and Austin Butler but Jodie Comer steals the film. I literally fell in love with her from the first scene in the laundromat. Pitch perfect and, as someone who lived in Chicago, she nailed the accent beautifully.
