I really wanted to like this show! I felt, as many reviewers have already stated, that too many social issues were slammed together making a mess of it. I love the diversity on this show, but it seems like they had a list of boxes they needed to check and fit into the first few episodes. Great job on that, but it was done at the expense of any real plot.
And Miranda! Wasn't this character the one screaming at Steve on a sidewalk for cheating on her?! I guess she forgot what that betrayal and heartbreak felt like? Poor old Steve just can't light her fire and sex is infinitely more important than love, loyalty, and family OBVIOUSLY. The writers worked real hard to try and make her betrayal justifiable, but it falls flat. So gross. But hey, you've got a gender fluid character and you use their correct pronouns, so its all good.
