I liked the idea of this book, but a glaring error strained its believability having to do with texting. On page 64, Chris exchanges texts with Chiara and, on page 164, Chris's mother points out quotes from him in a newspaper article that, he says, must have come from texts he wrote.
It's certainly plausible, and expected, that a person's texts would be used in an investigation. However, if the newspaper found his texts, why didn't the police find Chris's texts with Chiara from the day of the incident? If they had, the story would have played out completely differently.
And the author, Jain, earlier went out of her way to distinguish between texts and phone calls between Chris and Henry -- on pgs 60-64. This was an oversight that ruined my enjoyment of the book.
