Very difficult to read. I love science fiction. The Hugo shocks me. Sometimes I think the Hugo and Nebula are awarded based on how incomprehensible the novel is. It starts well and I was drawn in but once we jumped forty years it started to come loose. Then when the game began I started to feel like I was reading a novel of Monty Python Holy Grail but as a serious novel, not a comedy. But I could only really read it if I read it as nonsense. I'm 25% in. My daughter raves about the TV show so I'll keep trying.
