Average action thriller that tacks on a message rather clumsily to elevate it above what is a pretty silly story. They go to retrieve a fallen comrade and leave (spoiler alert) three of themselves there in doing so? And Delroy overacts. Clarke Peters is much better. Disappointing.

The Mission Impossible movies have overtaken the thing that inspired the original series, James Bond, and this latest also is a lesson for EON in just how to make a spy thriller without worrying too much about hurting somebody's feelings. Tom yet again gives it is all in the name of entertainment and ensuring we all have a damn good time. We do. Again! Being the first part is a bit of a gamble as obviously this doesn't have a satisfactory ending as such but it makes you want June 28th 2024 to hurry up and come. The plot is very current and obviously was ahead of the current news as it was written before all the talk about AI just lately. So an unusual "bad guy". Akin to HAL from 2001 basically. Unless that all turns out to be a bluff somehow. Anything is ironically Possible in the world of the IMF! Loved it! Well done Tom!
